These terms are in force from 26 October 2026. They cover version 1.1 of the Camito app and this website, and nothing else. Using Camito means you accept them.
They are written in words a thirteen year old and their parent can both read, because both of them are meant to read them.
Camito is going to grow, and these terms cover what ships now. Other places to buy Camito are something Camito may add later. Each one changes this page before it ships, not after.
1. Who you are dealing with
Camito is published and operated by Mimi Studio d.o.o., a company registered in Slovenia and based in Ljubljana. When these terms say we or us, they mean Mimi Studio d.o.o.
Our full registered address and our company and tax identifiers are not printed on this page yet. Write to [email protected] and we will send them to you.

2. What Camito is
Camito is test preparation for the written knowledge test you take before you are issued a learner permit. Instruction is delivered online, through an app on your phone.
What Camito is not, stated plainly because the category is full of the opposite:
- Camito is not a government agency and is not connected with one. No licensing authority has approved, endorsed, certified or partnered with Camito.
- Camito does not issue permits, licences or certificates, and finishing a course in Camito grants you nothing from anybody.
- Camito's questions are written by us from published road law. They are not the real test's questions and they are not drawn from it.
- Camito is not a driving school and does not provide behind the wheel instruction.
The disclaimer required by California law appears at the foot of every page of this website and inside the app, and it is worth reading.
3. How old you have to be
You must be at least 13 years old to use Camito.
If you are under 18, you must have your parent or guardian's permission to use Camito. By using it you are telling us that you have it. We take that at your word: the app does not ask for proof, and nobody has to sign anything.
If you are the parent or guardian and you want it to stop, you do not need our help and you do not need a reason. Delete the account inside the app, delete the app from the phone, and cancel the subscription in the Apple Account that paid for it. The steps are on this site. Write to us at [email protected] if any of that goes wrong.
The Privacy notice states the same two ages in the same words.
4. Your progress, and what holds it
You create an account after you subscribe, with an email address and a password. It is how your progress follows you, and you need it to keep using Camito after subscribing. If you already have one, you sign in instead.
Once you have an account, your lessons and scores are copied to our database, so they move with you to a new phone. The Privacy notice says exactly what is held, where, and what deletes it.
Your subscription is held by Apple, not by us. If you reinstall Camito or move to a new phone, restoring your purchase in the app gives your access back, because Apple still has the record of it.
You can delete your account inside the app. That removes it and the progress held for it from our live database. It does not cancel your subscription, which is with Apple. Deleting the app removes everything Camito kept on your phone.
5. What you may and may not do
You may use Camito to study, on your own devices, for as long as your subscription lasts.
You may not copy, extract, scrape, republish or resell Camito's lessons, questions, explanations or illustrations, and you may not use them to build a competing product. The road law itself belongs to nobody. Our writing of it is ours.
You may not try to break the app, get around the subscription, or use Camito to harm anybody.
6. The subscription
- Camito sells a weekly subscription, and, to somebody who has left the subscription screen, cancelled, or whose subscription or trial has ended, a yearly subscription offered at a lower price. The yearly one is shown as a price per week next to the amount actually billed each year.
- The weekly subscription comes with a free trial for somebody who has not had one, which is 3 days when this page was written. The screen shows the length and what happens after it before you start. If you do not cancel at least a day before the trial ends, the weekly subscription starts and you are charged.
- There is no free lesson. The section below says exactly what that means.
- The price is set by the store, in the currency of the country your store account is in. You are shown the exact amount, the billing period and the date of the first charge inside the app before you buy, and again on the store's own payment sheet. This website does not state a price, because there is no single price to state.
- Apple takes the payment, not us. Apple is the merchant. We never see your card details.
- It renews every week, or every year for the yearly subscription, until you cancel it.
- You cancel in the Apple Account that was billed. The steps are on this site. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Refunds are Apple's decision, under Apple's own policy, and a refund request goes to Apple rather than to us.
- If you live somewhere that gives you a right to change your mind about a digital purchase, that right is yours and these terms do not take it away.
What you get before you pay
None of the course, apart from a free trial if you start one. Camito asks you to subscribe or start the trial before it opens the course, and that screen stays up until you subscribe or restore a subscription you already have. There is no free lesson, no sample, no preview, and no waiting period that opens one. We would rather you read that here than find it out on your phone.
The two ways past that screen are buying the subscription and restoring one you have already bought, and both of them go through the App Store. If neither of them works for you, write to us at [email protected].
What happens when your subscription ends
Camito locks again, and while it is locked you cannot open your own progress either. We are saying it in those words because the softer version would be misleading.
The whole of it is this. What you studied stays on the phone you studied on and, once you have an account, in our database: we do not delete it when a subscription ends, and subscribing again opens it as you left it. What you cannot do, between one subscription ending and the next one starting, is read it, because your progress lives inside the course and the course is what the subscription opens. Deleting the app removes it for good, which is section 4.
7. What Camito does not promise
We do not promise that Camito will improve your score, and we do not promise that it will get you through your test. Nobody honestly can. What Camito does is teach the material and show you, accurately, which parts you have learned and which you have not.
We publish no pass rate and we offer no pass guarantee. We have not been running long enough to have data of our own and we will not use anybody else's.
8. About the content
Every question, explanation and illustration in Camito is written from the road law of the place it applies to: the vehicle code, the road traffic act or the road user rules. For each item we record which jurisdiction it belongs to, which instrument it came from, which section, which edition, when we read it, and who checked it.
If we have not written a jurisdiction's course, Camito does not offer that jurisdiction a course. We would rather show you nothing than show you another place's law with the name changed.
Road law changes, and people make mistakes. If you find something wrong, tell us at [email protected] and we will check the item against its source.
9. Things outside our control
Camito depends on your device, your operating system, your app store and your internet connection. We do not control any of them. The app may be unavailable while we are fixing or updating it.
10. Ending it
You can stop using Camito at any time, cancel the subscription in the Apple Account that was billed, delete your account inside the app, and delete the app.
We can suspend or close access that is being used to break these terms, to attack the service, or to take our content. If we do, we will tell you why.
11. Which law applies
If you are in the United States, the laws of the State of Delaware govern these terms.
If you are anywhere else, the law of the country you live in governs them, and you can bring a claim in your local courts.
Wherever you are, nothing in these terms takes away a right your own consumer law gives you.
12. Changes to these terms
If these terms change in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect, not afterwards.
